Who We Are

M & A Cabinet and Wood Restoration was started in 2004, by Michael Banke and his step-son, Robert. The company was started out of a discovered need while Michael was a realtor. Homeowners who were looking to sell did not know what to do with out-dated or worn cabinets. As a result, Michael started doing our Prep-to-Sell technique to help get them the best price for their homes. Michael previously had over 35+ years manufacturing, selling, and finishing fine furniture, so he knew how to touch-up and repair wood. When NAFTA was passed in the late 90’s, Michael was forced to shut down his factory due to an inability to compete with imports. After that he decided to try real estate. All was well until the housing market crashed in 2008, and Michael and Robert decided to focus on the cabinetry business. With the business growing year-after-year, they developed new finishing techniques including their own processes for restoration, refacing, toning, and building custom cabinets and furniture.
